We’re always looking for new and interesting team activities and ways to get involved in the Denver community. We’ve tried ATVing, brewing a custom batch of beer, and local Escape Rooms to name a few! In general, what’s better than exploring the Mile High City and taking in all it has to offer? Not much!

We created this list with some of the best places to take your team in Denver to spend some quality time outside the office. The BWB team recently went to Top Golf in Centennial, and it was a blast! Not only was the service great, but they had so many game options available for all types of players on our team. Pro tip: Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. Keep in mind reservations open two weeks ahead of your desired date and fill up quickly in the morning, Top Golf is a popular pastime right now.
Between Bad Ax Throwing and Ax Whooping, you can give your team a real chance to let it all out. Though not brand new, if you haven’t tried ax throwing yet, it’s loads of fun. Slap on your best lumberjack flannel and come prepared to give it your all, throwing an ax into a highly controlled environment that is. Make sure to crown the team’s best Paul Bunyan and finish your evening at a local brewery.
From Alamo Drafthouse to Denver Film, Denver has plenty of options when it comes to a classic movie night excursion. Make your movie night themed with a Halloween flick in October, or crowd source and get your team to vote on which picture you’d like to show. Once the movie’s selected, you can spring for one of the package options, as most theaters offering private rental services also provide fun snacks, pizza, popcorn, and even beer. While you could just take your team to the movies, renting out a private theater levels up the experience as something that’s just for them.
The masterminds behind Oxotic Driving Experience thought their need for speed should be something everyone has access to. A short way away in Golden, Oxotic offers a chance to drive some serious machinery over the beautiful landscape of the Peak-to-Peak highway or the surrounding areas. If you’re team is celebrating something big, the experience includes driving instructors and photographers to capture the moment. Truly unique, your team can go for a short 15-mile ride outing, or host a fully fledged event on their property.
They say food tastes better when you don’t make it yourself, but have you ever made your own homemade fresh pasta? Trust us, it’s worth the effort. A Denver staple in culinary education since 1999, the Cook Street School of Culinary Arts offers everything from private virtual cooking events you can participate in from home, to group cooking classes for Spanish, French, Thai, Italian, and Japanese cuisines, plus wine tastings, and other in-person events.
We can’t think of too many things that raise someone’s spirits more than a hardy laugh. Taking your team to a standup comedy show is more affordable than Red Rocks, and will be sure to have your team referencing jokes for days on Slack. Check out Comedy Works in Denver to see their latest lineup of comics coming to Colorado this fall.
What's better than getting your daily dose of vitamin D on one of Colorado's many glorious trails? If your trying to stay close to Denver, check out Matthew Winters Park, Mt. Falcon Open Space, or North Table Mountain outside of Golden to name a few. Have time for a longer team excursion? You don't have to drive to Summit County to find beautiful hikes. Staunton State Park is just 45 minutes outside of Denver, and Roxborough State Park is 25 minutes southwest of the city, both boasting beautiful trails that accommodate all skill levels.
Have you ever heard of Archery Dodgeball? We hadn’t either and now we really want to give it a try. Less bruise-inducing than paintball, two teams battle it out with bows and foam-tipped arrows from opposite sides of the arena. If your team tags all of the opposing players with arrows, you win! Get your blood pumping with this high-intensity team building excursion.
If your team is more easy-going, or just prefers a low-key experience while still getting the best of Denver, look no further than Delicious Denver Food Tours. Including Union Station doll Tavernetta, this two hour excursion gives your party tastes and curated cocktails from some of the city’s hottest spots to eat. Forget the reservation flusters of setting up your own tour, Delicious Denver Food Tours take care of everything and even sends your group a private tour to make sure everything runs smoothly.
