5 Great Tech Companies to Watch in Denver, Part II

Written by Abby | Jun 15, 2015 3:22:47 PM

It’s been over a year since part 1 of our series. So many great new tech companies have made an impact that it was hard for us to narrow them down to these five, but here you have them: our favorite tech companies in Denver in no particular order.

Tendril

These guys really are setting out to save the world, and they’re doing a great job.

Tendril helps energy companies tackle issues related to Energy Services Management. They assist with energy efficiency, developing solar energy projects, and customer engagement.

They take their commitment to the planet seriously, too. They’re part of an effort called PrintReleaf, which allows them to plant trees to offset their paper usage as a company. Pretty darn cool.

iTriage

The developers of the iTriage app built a user-friendly way to manage all things related to your health.

Check your symptoms, find a care provider, and access your health records all from your smart phone. In addition, iTriage can help to increase transparency of medical costs.

With 500 million smartphone users worldwide expected to use health apps this year, iTriage is a rising star in a booming industry.

Total HealthCard

There are apps aplenty that track your health and fitness goals, but none that go quite as far as Total HealthCard.

Working with local, health-savvy businesses, Total HealthCard helps you save money on purchases and thus incentivizes you to meet your health goals. Their HealthScore takes many factors into account to help you see how your behaviors are helping or hindering your overall health.

Parkifi

Ever wished there was an app that would tell you where the closest parking space was? Well, the guys at Parkifi did. So they’re making one.

Using powerful sensors, Parkifi provides parking lot managers an opportunity to show nearby drivers when they have available spaces. Those local drivers can then get off the roads quicker and more easily, improving traffic for everyone else.

The sensors work in parking garages, on-street parking spaces, and surface lots. Parkifi even installs the sensors for you, making it super easy to sign up.

My Soccer Moves

Getting your kids to practice soccer can be tough. Maybe they’ll play all day long, but actually trying to improve their skills? Not so much.

Enter My Soccer Moves, an app that allows your children to video themselves trying out a variety of techniques, which can then be reviewed by their virtual coach. The app makes the whole process fun and even a bit competitive, as kids can work on challenges with their friends.
